La Pine is home to the Newberry National Volcanic Monument which offers some of the most unique snowmobiling in Central Oregon and the Pacific Northwest.
The La Pine Lodgepole Dodgers Snowmobile Club is responsible for grooming and trail clearing the Newberry Monument snowmobiling area (often referred to as Paulina or 10 Mile Snow park) off Highway 97 northeast of La Pine.
