Ethel Dumon

board director

I grew up in southern California where I graduated from high school and went to the University of Phoenix College, receiving a bachelor’s degree in business.  Since then, I have had a variety of professional and social experiences serving people of my community and my church where I specialized in event coordination.

We have moved here in La Pine, OR in October, 2018.  I have been a member of this community for nearly seven years.  During this time, La Pine has captured my heart.  One week after moving here I served as a volunteer at the La Pine Chamber of Commerce office.  Moving forward I started working at St. Vincent de Paul and I was promoted to the Assistance Manager at St. Vincent de Paul at the thrift store.  Six months later I promoted as a Manager for St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank.

I retired from that position, but still volunteer one day a week at the St. Vincent de Paul thrift store.  Other affiliations and activities include, Board member at the Chamber of Commerce; Board member at the Frontier Days; Board member at La Pine Community Health Center; Board member at Faith and Grace Christian Academy, ministry at the High Lakes Christian Church.  I am also involved with other community services including Moose Lodge, American Legion, Grange, and Lions Club.

In my leisure time, I enjoy spending time with my family and fly fishing with my husband

WaFed

I’ve been with WaFd for 6+ yrs but have nearly 20 yrs in banking. Recently promoted to Branch Manager and am passionate about helping clients and building opportunities for my team to grow in their careers. I value hard work, strong, meaningful relationships and making the most of each moment we are given!

Relocated to La Pine in 2019 from the Hillsboro area and quickly embraced the Central Oregon life! When I am not working, you’ll find me juggling school and sports schedules, enjoying the outdoors with camping and hunting, or tackling my latest challenge – gardening/greenhouse. Growing in our unpredictable climate!

I volunteer (as time allows) at the St Vincent Food Bank and have most recently become a La Pine Chamber Board Member.
