Fifteen years ago my beautiful wife Krista and I fulfilled my longtime dream of moving to the “dry side of the mountain” and chose LaPine as the place to raise our daughters Cheyenne and Kiley. After working in Bend for almost ten years, I fulfilled two more dreams by authoring a book “Can’t Lose Bowhunting” and then opening my own business – Integrity Auto Services. I am quite grateful to the LaPine Community for supporting me in these ventures. We now have 7 full-time team members who earn living wage jobs right here in LaPine and no longer have to leave town for work!
I currently serve on the Board of Directors for the Northwest Outdoor Writers Association and am their Finance Chairman. Last year I won their Outstanding Board Member of the Year Award.
If appointed to the LaPine Chamber Board of Directors, I would like to do my part in helping facilitate our awesome Chamber Staff to do what they do best- help businesses and our community thrive!
We lived in Sandy, OR before we moved to La Pine in June 1999. We enjoyed La Pine while we were out camping-fishing-hiking with friends and family. We enjoyed La Pine every time we came here, it was so friendly and nice to be here that we decided to move to La Pine and have been here for 20 years. The people are so friendly and nice to work with. That is one of the reasons why I joined the Chamber-and became a Chamber Board member. The Chamber is always busy doing things and helping people and businesses to grow. La Pine has grown a lot since I moved here and the Chamber is part of the reason why we have kept moving. I like being on the Chamber Board-to be with the businesses and the people that work for the businesses in town. The Board is out there every where they can to help people and businesses grow and the Board members are part of the work and events that are part of La Pine. I enjoy what I do with the Chamber.
Community service is a high priority for Teresa both personally and in her position at Midstate. She actively participates and assists with many local agencies/causes to improve local environments, provide food and shelter for the underprivileged and enhance educational and recreational opportunities.
A native Oregonian, Teresa has lived in Central Oregon since 1977. She has an AA Degree in Communications from COCC and is a graduate of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Management Internship Program.
As an incumbent board member I would appreciate continuing the ability to have input on decisions effecting businesses in the area, such as : “Finding ways to attract future business and visitors”; “Getting other businesses to promote each other”; and, “Letting all businesses know the chamber is here for them.” I have been a Chamber member now for several years and would very much like to continue to help the La Pine Chamber growing as there is no comparison to the level of support the Chamber gives to this community and to all it’s members.
Currently, I have the privilege of being the Personal Banker at Washington Federal as well as the loan officer there. This has been my first opportunity to work in the banking industry and I can proudly say that every day is a new learning experience, both for the industry and to learn about our community and its needs.
From 2014 to 2018 I served in the US Marine Corps as a combat engineer in Camp Pendleton, CA before being discharged as a Sergeant. I highly appreciate the service of our honorable veteran population here in La Pine and have been introduced to the many local organizations dedicated to helping fellow veterans to include the Band of Brother/Sisters, The American Legion, VVA, VFW, and COVO.
Overall, after everything that La Pine has given me in regards to having the friendliest and most helpful people I’ve ever come across who will always go the extra mile when they see someone in need, I feel the need to give back what I can back to our small town.
When not working, Danielle enjoys raising her family in a rural community, spending time participating in the many activities Central Oregon has to offer and taking care of their hobby farm.
