Mary and Larry Thorson moved to La Pine in 1999 from Sandy, Oregon for the great Fly Fishing! For a few years they would come into town to do shopping-get gas-go to restaurants and thought La Pine was just the friendliest town. Coming on weekends was just not enough for them, so they thought they would look for property to buy to set up a camper and go fishing. Soon they found their little cabin and fell in love. Mary found work in Bend, and she found herself shopping in Bend after work and then going home and not having anything to do with La Pine businesses. After 3 years she started her own bookkeeping business and got involved with the town and businesses and has loved it since and still does!
