Youth Employment Counselor: COIC (Central Oregon Intergovernmental Council) has a job opening that serves La Pine High students, and they are having trouble getting any interest. The Youth Employment Counselor who planned to run the program has announced that he is taking another position.
This is for their Alternative Youth Education Program; youth 16-21 who need high school credit. The outdoor work component of the COIC Work-Education program is unique – each student becomes part of a work crew with 5-8 of their classmates. Students earn high school credits, and learn more about the natural environment, while working on natural resource and community service projects. The youth are paid a wage for their work, too.
They are looking for someone hopefully from the La Pine area, who cares deeply for alternative youth who have yet to identify their full potential. Please click here
