John Patrick Brown, Deschutes County

John Patrick Brown was born January 30, 1945.  He was serving in the Army as a Second Lieutenant.  He was killed in Thua Thien on May 21, 1968.  He was 23.  Today, he would be 75.  Read the remembrances left for him here.

The last service member on The Wall

The last man on TWTH is Air Force Second Lieutenant Richard Vandegeer, from Columbus OH, 11/01/1948-15/05/1975.  Vandegeer was a CH-53 pilot, shot down off the coast of Cambodia with 26 men aboard.  13 were rescued.  It was 20 years before the LT's remains were identified, and another 5 years before his funeral at Arlington National [...]
