I first bought property in La Pine in 1972 and moved La Pine in 1976. I fell in love with the area right away. I raised horses and had a stallion station for many years under ‘Lazy Bar B’ where I had Arabian, Quarter Horse & Paint studs. I started a paralegal business in Bend and ran that for several years. I decided to return to college in 1994 and completed in 2000 (COCC & OSU). I had been volunteering with COBRA in Bend and applied for Hotline Manager in 1997. After that I was Volunteer Coordinator & Shelter Manager over the next 7 years. I retired the first time in 2006, but didn’t stay retired for long. Went to work in 2008 for another job profit in Roseburg, then became a truck driver, bus driver, and eventually came back to La Pine where I worked as house cleaning supervisor, and Coalition Coordinator for TAPS (Think Again ParentS) in South Deschutes County until 2016. I have volunteered with Newberry Habitat for Humanity Restore & The La Pine Chamber of Commerce while being retired a second to e and working part time at S&R Storage. I am married, have two grown daughters and one granddaughter. I love my community.
